Founded in 2015 The Calgary Game Developers Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a local community around creating video games. Regardless of skill level or profession, we encourage anyone interested in making games to come out to meetups, engage with other members, and build up your passion for making awesome games here in the city of Calgary!

Our community has a wealth of knowledge from individuals who have real-life experience creating and launching games into the global market.
Every third Thursday of the month the CGDA hosts a local community social at Civic Tavern downtown on 12 Ave SW. Come join us, bring your projects, and meet local video game developers! Event is free, casual and open to all!
This weekly event is a co-working session where game developers across the city can bring their projects and work alongside other game creators. The event is frequented by programmers, artists, designers, musicians, and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring their projects and receive feedback on their games.
Paid members of the CGDA get all kinds of cool stuff! Perks include reduced rates to local gaming related events, access to educational videos, and even eligibility to join us on trips to international functions like GDC and PAX.
